In order to vote, you must first REGISTER! The primary is June 8th.
The deadline to register to vote is MAY 8th. You may register online at
www.votesmart.org
You may also register at the Voter Registration Office, which is located on the first floor
of the old courthouse on the Square in Laurens. (984-4431)
WHAT IS CIA?
CIA, Christians in Action, is a group of Christians concerned about the state of the family, the Church, the nation, and the world. CIA focuses on a different social or cultural topic each month, shining God's truth in these areas. We accomplish this task through:
-- Education
--Material and resource distribution
-- Displays on ministry tables and bulletin boards in our participating churches
-- Guest speakers and media presentations
MISSION STATEMENT:
To educate the church body as to how cultural issues may be influencing their family and the individual.
To provide suggestions for practical ways to impact our culture.
To encourage participation in our political process through voter registration and education of the candidates’ positions.
To spread the concept of CIA to other area churches. Churches currently involved: Chestnut Ridge Baptist, Beulah Baptist, Cornerstone Baptist, Beaverdam Baptist Church
