CRBC MISSIONS

From Missions
PURPOSE FOR CRBC MISSIONS

The purpose of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Missions is to spread God’s amazing love to make Jesus Christ known to all peoples.

GOAL OF CRBC MISSIONS

The goal is to mobilize people, prayer, finances and other resources of our church so as to effectively impact the lost of our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER STATEGY FOR CRBC MISSIONS

We will utilize the spiritual weapon of prayer to strategically impact our world by developing a prayer ministry that can be quickly mobilized and brought to bear on emergency needs while focusing consistently on all projects and goals.

BASIC PRINCIPLES

Establish an Acts 1:8 missions strategy that touches people beginning in our Jerusalem (Laurens), extending to our Judea (South Carolina) and Samaria (United States), and reaching out to the ends of the earth (International).
Maintain and enrich our home church base since the “light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home.”
Emphasize church planting and the facilitation of church planting movements to reach the lost.
Employ missions programs as part of our overall plan, traditional and nontraditional.
Emphasize personalization of missions by keeping missionaries constantly in touch with our church family through prayer, correspondence, and annual mission conferences.
Involve our people in a variety of short-term mission projects that will expand their vision for global evangelization.
Seek out and nurture potential missionary candidates within our congregation.
Partner with a variety of missions ministries, both Southern Baptist and non-SBC entities.
Employ educational resources to develop and equip missions’ participants.
